Spot doesn't cover pre-existing medical conditions
Spot does not cover pre-existing conditions like other pet insurance plans. Some medical conditions are exclusions from the policy. Dental disease, intervertebral and other hereditary disorders are excluded from the policy. Additional exclusions include orthodontic and dental procedures, as well as expenses for daycare and boarding. The insurance policy does not cover cosmetic procedures, bilateral conditions, or any other treatment.
Spot's policy on pre-existing conditions does not cover arthritis treatment. Pre-existing conditions are any medical condition that occurred before the plan was issued. Unless the condition has been cured, insurance companies will not cover arthritis treatment. While this policy doesn't have an age limit or a deductible, customers must still pay at least $2,500 for any vet costs.
